Big Tech Announcements: Big Talk or Real Walk?
Any progress is ultimately interesting. Exploring new avenues to accelerate the arrival of "useful" quantum computers is crucial.
However, we must be cautious about hype, and assess in the light of the facts any advertisement that proclaims to be revolutionary… [see more…]

Even though the term partial differential equation (PDE) may sound complex, it forms the backbone of modeling—that is, understanding, calculating, predicting, and leveraging—essential natural phenomena such as “fluid dynamics, materials science, and weather forecasting”.
Beyond the technical insights of this article, it highlights an example of a benchmark for quantum computers. Such benchmarks are essential for objectively evaluating and comparing different hardware technologies and algorithms. However, much like the computing systems they assess, designing a universally applicable quantum computing benchmark remains a complex challenge.
Publication not entirely checked. However, the need for benchmarking has become more prevalent as Quantum Technology begins to mature.
